mathestate Data Sources

Information you provide in each mathestate field is aggregated into a database for your area. We are NOT interested in information about you. What we want is property parameters (rents, vacancy, expected growth, etc.) that you use in evaluating investment alternatives. We collect these and archive them by area (zip code). As the database grows you will be able to compare the input values you provide with the aggregated data provided all others using mathestate in your area.

Data for this site are drawn from three sources:

1. Simulated data for demonstration purposes. This data is generated using parameters from real data in seven major US markets;

2. Unconfirmed data provided by users who are prospective buyers or sellers in the process of evaluating investment properties. This data is only as good as the inputs so all users are encouraged to provide the best available data. Sequential data runs on the same property are time stamped. The last is considered to be the best and is included in the aggregate data; and

3. Confirmed data provided by users regarding property they actually purchased or sold. Of course this is the best data and is segregated from other data.

As this database grows users will be permitted to draw on either the unconfirmed, confirmed or both data sources.

This is your resource!! Treat your inputs with respect. Our watchword is "CICO" - Caviar in, Caviar out.
