Is the Bid Rent Curve Linear?
A number of different users, all with different bid rent functions, result in a bid rent curve that, for a small number of users is piecewise linear, as shown below. As the number of users grows the aggregation of their various curves result in crossover points that grow closer together, disclosing a bid rent curve that is not linear.
